It is my belief that everyone has a story to tell. Anyone can write fiction, but oftentimes the prospect is scary. Write a whole book? What do I write about? Who will read it? Authors have been plagued by this question since the art of fiction first began. Even bards and storytellers had writer's block from time to time. Stories are all around us, but if we take them in pieces, they are easier to serve, and easier to digest.
Cereal Righter is a play on words. Cereal, being a homonym for "serial", and Righter a homonym for "writer". The purpose of this blog is to bring back the art of serial fiction writing. The ideas started as a venue for my own work, and that of my daughter, who has written several stories over the years. My current hope is that it will turn into a community of writers who want to share their work in small pieces. I also hope to eventually monetize the blog, and be able to pay writers for their pieces.

How It Works
First, be sure to subscribe so you are notified when new chapters post. Once we have several stories published, you may choose to subscribe only to a certain story, or to the entire blog to get them all.
If you want to be published on Cereal Righter, please submit your first three chapters (300-500 words each) and a short bio (100-150) for our Authors page. Please keep the stories family friendly so we can keep a wide audience.
Do I Get Paid?
At this time, Cereal Righter is a free blog. If we are able to monetize in the future, compensation will be considered for published stories. In the meantime, enjoy the pieces, and share with your friends. The more readers we have, the better chance we have of monetizing down the line.
